Service Goes to Washington
March 21 - 27, 2026
Get excited! Service High is participating in a dynamic, hands-on, civic education program for students in Washington, DC! The Close Up Foundation will provide a learning experience of a lifetime. Participating students will get to meet with their Alaska congressional delegation, experience history and government, consider a variety of viewpoints on important current issues, and build the skills of engaged citizenship. This year, our trip should coincide with the blooming of the famous cherry trees along the tidal basin.
