Music Musings

Service music programs had 11 students compete in the State Solo & Ensemble competition over the weekend! This is a festival where students compete individually or in small groups. They competed at the regional festival in March and earned a high enough score to compete and perform for judges with students across the State!

JROTC summer opportunities

28-31 May is the NJROTC Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge. 31 cadets will be attending the "summer camp" training aboard JBER. Cadets will be gaining courage, poise, and self confidence as they go through the swim qualification, jump tower, rappel tower, and a black hawk helicopter ride. Additional skills such as marching, using a compass, and team building events will be part of the camp as well. Nine incoming freshman will be part of this years camp. ​For more information about the Service NJROTC program, click the link below.

ASD schools will have new start times beginning next school year. More information can be found on the ASD website.

Fall Sports

Start planning for the fall sports season now, some seasons have the first practice before the school year. Flag football, football, XC running, tennis and cheer all start practice on July 26th. Click the link below for more information about dates and deadlines.

First Day of School

ASD is staggering the first day of school in August 2024 to support students in a new school. Thursday August 15th will be for 9th grade only. All grades will attend school starting Friday August 16th.
